Christien Meindertsma followed up on a pig (number 05049) after it’s death (by slaughter, needless to say). For three years she did research on the products made from one single pig and documented all 185 of them in her photo book. The pig had been shipped all around the world and among the products made was ammunition, medicine, photo paper, heart valves, brakes, chewing gum, porcelain, cosmetics, cigarettes, conditioner and bio diesel.

A Journey Around My Skull
A Journey Around My Skull is mainly about artwork for books, but might include Polish poster art aswell. Tons of stuff. The guy is really dedicated. The most recent post is part 3 of a series on Iranian children’s book. Beautiful!
“Unhealthy book fetishism from a reader, collector, and amateur historian of forgotten literature.” Recent obsessions: illustration and graphic design.
Geoff McFetridge at Do Lectures
Do Lectures is about people that do stuff, giving lectures about doing stuff that might inspire you to do stuff? In this clip you can watch Geoff McFetridge redefining what Graphic Artist do in this lecture entitled “The Best Inventors Have the Commonest Problems”.
Sci-Fi-O-Rama
Sci-Fi-O-Rama is once again one of my favorites. I thought they had disappeared, but apparently they just changed their url and hosting. But anyway this site, as some of the ones a I have mentioned before, is just jam-packed with good stuff. It’s pretty much about all things sci-fi and psychedelica. From old pinball machine graphics to record sleves by Hipgnosis.
Linefeed Reading List 11/09
Linefeed Reading List is a monthly review of magazines by Michael Bojkowski of Linefeed. This months review includes the latest (last?) issue of KASINO A4 and Acne Paper amongst others. Oh, and the excellent 032C aswell. Found through a tweet by Kitsune Noir, who by the way features some desktop wallpapers by Laura Laine and Pietari Posti.
But Does It Float & Space Collective
These both sites are filled with an immense amount of inspirational stuff. But does it float has a nice vibe to it and compared to fffound, Dropular or Buamai these images usually link to the creator behind the images. It’s curated buy Folkert Gorter and Atley G. Kasky. Folkert is apparently also one of the forces behind News Today, nowadays known as QBN. As for Space Collective it’s all about spacey, scientific and pseudo-scientific stuff.
