Fever Ray mix

December 5th, 2009

feverraymain1 More old news. The ever so inspiring Fever Ray made this mix for Resident Advisor already in october and it’s been on heavy rotation since. It kinda fits the monochrome season and mood. At least for those of us living on the northern hemisphere, on the border to eternal darkness. RA already archived it, but if you’re quick you can still get it here. Extra kudos for throwing some Entombed in the mix. Can you spot a Finnish tango classic in the riff?

    Tracklist:

    01. Neil Young – Guitar Solo 1
    02. Yo La Tengo – Everyday
    03. Journey To Ixtlan – Corpse On The Mesa
    04. Jad & David Fair – Nosferatu
    05. Zola Jesus – Devil Take You
    06. Bruce Haack – Mean Old Devil
    07. Krause – Duo Canopolis
    08. Burial Hex – Will To Chapel
    09. Suicide – Ghost Rider
    10. Amadou & Miriam – Ja Pense À Toi
    11. Shackleton – Death Is Not Final
    12. Entombed – Night Of The Vampire
    13. Maddalena Fagandini – Interval Signals
    14. Burundi: Musiques Traditionnelles – Chant Avec Cithare

The Auteurs

December 3rd, 2009

auteursSo when you downloaded all the blockbusters and there’s not one cool torrent to be found anywhere, you might want to have a look at this. For a small fee you can stream some quality cinema to your screen. The Auteurs brings us a nice little collection of stuff outside of the mainstream.

But Does It Float & Space Collective

December 3rd, 2009

floatThese both sites are filled with an immense amount of inspirational stuff. But does it float has a nice vibe to it and compared to fffound, Dropular or Buamai these images usually link to the creator behind the images. It’s curated buy Folkert Gorter and Atley G. Kasky. Folkert is apparently also one of the forces behind News Today, nowadays known as QBN. As for Space Collective it’s all about spacey, scientific and pseudo-scientific stuff.

Zeitguised

Peripetics, one of my favorite pieces of motiongraphics from Zeitguised. Artistically appealing and with a high production value.
